For generations, Loup City Lanes was more than just a bowling alley - it was a place where friends gathered, families celebrated, leagues competed, and memories were made. When we purchased the business in January 2025, we knew how important that legacy was to the community, and preserving that tradition became our mission from day one.

One thing we knew immediately was that the pizza recipe everyone loved had to stay exactly the same. While we wanted to modernize and improve the facility, keeping the familiar flavors and hometown atmosphere was just as important as the renovations themselves.

After operating for about a month, we temporarily closed the facility to completely renovate and expand the Bar & Grill area. On March 13, 2025, we proudly reopened as The Alley Bar,  a refreshed space designed to bring people together to eat, drink, bowl, and enjoy everything that makes small-town Nebraska special.

Since reopening, we’ve continued investing in the facility and the experience for both locals and visitors. In June 2025, we added our outdoor patio space, creating a great spot to relax with friends, enjoy the weather, and gather during community events. In August 2025, we completed the addition of two new restrooms and made several updates to the bowling alley side of the building. And we’re not done yet, we’re excited to continue improving the facility with bowling lane renovations planned for 2026.

At The Alley Bar, this has never been just about food or drinks. It’s about community. It’s about creating a place where families can spend time together, friends can meet after work, fishermen can stop in after the lake, and visitors can experience the welcoming spirit that makes Loup City special.
